How to Recover Lost Data from iPad

Step 1. Connect your iPad to the computer and scan the device
Firstly, use a USB cable to connect your iPad to your PC and launch the program on it. When you get the window as below, choose the recovery mode of Recover from iOS Device and click “Start Scan” to starting scanning your device.

After the scanning completes, you can see all data scanned out and listed in categories. You can preview the content of them. And tick what you want to recover. Then click “Recover” to get them back to your computer.

Part 2: How to Recover Lost Data from iTunes Backup File

Step 1. Choose the recovery mode and download iTunes backup file
Launch the iPhone Data Recovery on your computer and switch the recovery mode to “Recover from iTunes Backup File”.

Note: If you choose to recover from iTunes backup file, you don't need to connect your device to your computer. What you need to do is to make sure you have backed up your iPad data before.

Step 2. Extract your iTunes backup file
Choose a backup file from the list on the right side of the interface and click "Start Scan" to extract it. After that, you can get the window as below.

Step 3. Start to recover iPad data
Now all the contents in the iTunes backup are scanned out and displayed. You can preview them one by one. Then check those you want to recover and press “Recover” to save them on your computer.
