How to Recover Deleted Contacts from iPhone

Part 1: Directly Scan and Recover Deleted Contacts from iPhone

Step 1. Connect Your iDevice to PC and Start Scan
First of all, you need to launch iPhone Data Recovery on your computer, then use a USB cable to connect your iOS device to your PC.
If you use iPhone 6s/6s Plus/6/6 Plus/5s/5c/5/4s, you will get the window as below, click “Start Scan” to directly scan your iPhone for lost contacts.

If you use iPhone 4/3GS, you can see the window as below. please choose "Advanced Mode" at the corner of the window and click “Start Scan”.

Step 2. Find Lost Contacts and Recover
The scanning process will take a few seconds, then you will be able to preview all the scanned out data. If you don’t need to recover all items, you can mark those you need and then click “Recover” to start the recovery. And the data will be saved on your computer.

Part 2: Extract Contacts from iTunes Backup File

Notes: Since you have lost your contacts, please remember to stop syncing your iPhone with iTunes to prevent your iPhone backup file from being overwritten.
Step 1. Scan the iTunes Backup File on Your Computer
Choose the recovery mode of "Recover from iTunes Backup File" firstly. You will see all your backup files in the list as the window below shows. Select the latest file of your iPhone and then click “Start Scan”. The program will begin to scan your lost data automatically.

Step 2. Regain Contacts and Export to Computer
After several seconds, the scanning will finish and you can find that both the existing and deleted files are scanned out and listed in categories. Now you can press “Recover” button to retrieve your lost contacts back.

Part 3: Download Contacts from iCloud Backup

Step 1. Sign into Your iCloud Account
Switch to "Recover from iCloud Backup File" mode, and sign in your iCloud account.

Step 2. Choose iCloud Backup and Download
Then you can see the backup history lists of your iCloud account. Choose one of them you want and click "Download" button.

Step 3. Recover Contacts from iCloud Backup File
After downloaded, choose "Contacts" and tick those you want to export, and then click “Recover” button.
